These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all electrical services, repairs, installations, and related work provided by XKR Electrical (“we,” “us,” or “Company”) to any customer (“you” or “Customer”). By requesting or accepting services from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope of Work

  • All work will be performed according to the written estimate, proposal, or work order agreed upon by both parties.

  • We will perform the services with quality workmanship and in compliance with the current National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations in Virginia.

  • Any changes or additional work must be agreed upon in writing via a change order before we proceed. Extra costs will apply.

2. Pricing and Payment Terms

  • Prices are valid for 30 days from the date of the estimate unless otherwise stated.

  • A deposit of up to 50% may be required before work begins, depending on the project size.

  • Final payment is due in full upon completion of the work, unless other terms are agreed in writing.

  • We accept cash, checks, credit cards, and electronic payments. Late payments may incur a monthly service charge of 1.5%.

  • You are responsible for any permits, inspections, or utility fees unless otherwise specified in the estimate.

3. Project Timeline and Delays

  • We will make every reasonable effort to complete the work within the agreed timeframe.

  • Delays caused by weather, material shortages, permitting issues, or other circumstances beyond our control may extend the completion date.

  • If you cause delays (e.g., by not providing access to the site), we reserve the right to adjust the schedule and may charge for additional mobilization or storage costs.

4. Access and Site Preparation

  • You must provide safe and clear access to the work area, including electricity and water if needed.

  • You are responsible for moving furniture, personal belongings, or other obstacles before work begins.

  • We are not responsible for damage to landscaping, driveways, or structures caused by normal access during the project unless due to our negligence.

5. Warranty

  • We provide a one (1) year labor warranty on all workmanship from the date of completion.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to all supplied materials and fixtures. We are not responsible for product failures covered by the manufacturer.

  • The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, alterations by others, acts of God, or normal wear and tear.

  • To claim a warranty, you must notify us in writing with a description of the issue.

6. Customer Responsibilities

  • You must inform us of any known hazards, asbestos, mold, or structural issues before work begins.

  • You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permits or approvals if required.

  • All lights, lamps, fans, decorative plates, or specialty items are to be supplied by you unless stated otherwise in the estimate.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific job.

  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including loss of use, loss of profit, or damage to other property not directly caused by our work.

  • We carry appropriate insurance. Proof of insurance is available upon request.

8. Termination

  • Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice if the other party materially breaches these Terms and fails to correct the breach within 7 days.

  • If you terminate the agreement after work has started, you are responsible for payment for all work completed and materials ordered up to the termination date, plus reasonable termination costs.

9. Governing LawThese Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Newport News or the surrounding area in Virginia.10. Entire AgreementThese Terms, together with the accepted estimate or proposal, constitute the entire agreement between you and XKR Electrical. Any prior understandings or verbal agreements are superseded by these Terms.11. Changes to These TermsWe may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will be posted on our website or provided upon request.
